Trying to decide if I should try and buy something.... my 511 horns have 807-8a drivers and the one for sale has a 808-8a driver.... is there a noticeable difference between the two?

The 808 has a claimed 2.2 dB greater efficiency, though in some measurements we did way back when they were right at 'only' 2 dB more efficient, but the main thing for HIFI apps is they can be EQ'd for greater ~flat HF response.

Both are ill suited for HIFI apps though with existing Symbiotik diaphragms if no super tweeter is used. If they are though, then just attenuate the 808 to match the others. Heck, if it needs re-zapping, then it may be a good match as is.
